City Commissioners on Monday paved the way for motorized scooter businesses to operate in Mt Pleasant. After a short public hearing, the group approved the move with no objections. They do require licenses to operate Bird & Lyft, also other rules like proof of insurance, contact info, safety regulations, speed limits and placement of non-motorized vehicles where they will not impede traffic or create obstacles.
