Ozzy Osbourne’s oldest daughter Aimee is opening up about her decision not to take part in the family’s reality show “The Osbournes.” Speaking to iHeart’s own Q104.3, Aimee says has always valued her privacy within the family, despite having grown up with a “pretty well-known dad.”
When it came time to start shooting “The Osbournes,” Aimee did her best to stay away from the cameras. She was only 15 at the time, and ended up leaving home at 16 to avoid filming the TV show. Why? On top of being a private person, she found the idea of growing up in the reality show “appalling.”
“I want to be a singer, and I felt if I’d stayed with ‘The Osbournes’ and done the whole thing, I would have been typecast right away,” she says. “I don’t think I will ever cross-contaminate my private life and my family life with my public and professional worlds.”
