A group of non- profits looking to address the poverty issue in the area are almost to their goal to buy a non- profit center. The Mt Pleasant Community Foundation is helping the group reach its $1 million goal to do so and right now they are at 84% to their goal. The William and Janet Strickler Nonprofit Center currently is home to Community Compassion Network, Isabella County Restoration House, Clothing INC and The Care Store.
