A Michigan state trooper from the Houghton Lake post was shot on Friday in Misaukee County following a traffic stop. The officer pulled over the vehicle, when one of the occupants got out and started running away while shooting at the officer. The officer will be okay; however, the suspect is now dead. Two other passengers in the vehicle were arrested on site. This investigation continues.
