We’re pretty confident in saying Dave Grohl’s creativity knows no bounds.
The Foo Fighters frontman is making plans to record a 25-minute instrumental song on which he will play all the instruments. In a recent interview, Grohl said he plans to set up a multitude of instruments in a studio, start the clock and start playing the various instruments assigned to different moments in the track. He says his rationale for taking on such a project his simple, “Just because I can.”
To give you an idea how this will work. Grohl says he’ll have “several drum kits, a load of guitars, bass, rhythm and lead. I’ll hit play and the clock will start ticking. I will record the first drum part, then I will run to the next drum set and play another drum part that will record over the first.” he’ll change instruments and then repeat.
Grohl says he will be filming the entire session and isn’t even sure if he’ll release the finished product.
