The Central Michigan District Health Department is requesting additional 2 percent funding from the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe for its HIV and sexually transmitted disease screening program in Isabella County. Last year, 1,000 residents wanted to get tested, but only 600 could be brought in leaving 400 turned away. If awarded, the grant funding will help those 400 people as well.
