Edward Norton’s production company is being sued for a fire that broke out inside of an apartment building that was doubling as a movie set.
Two separate residents of the Harlem apartment building have filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Class 5 Films. The tenants say they weren’t given a warning by the company when a fire broke out while “Motherless Brooklyn” was being filmed. The March 22nd fire took the life a New York City firefighter.
The siblings who are suing claim to have lost all of their possessions in the blaze, which they said started in the basement where the production company was housing “highly flammable equipment.”
Vincent Sollazzo, the building’s owner, is also named in the lawsuit.
