Remington Hernandez is originally from the small town of Santa Anna, Texas. For as long as he can remember, Remington has been interested in news.

From telling stories in class to making newscasts in his free time, he knew what he wanted to do for quite a while.

Remington’s first job in media at age 16 at a small radio station, KSCK-LP in Sterling City, Texas, where he was a DJ.

After living in San Francisco for just under a year, he moved to Cadillac, Michigan in April 2017 to pursue his dream of being a news anchor.

From day one at WMNN-LD, the small operation then called MI News 26, Remington was tasked with reporting, filming, producing, and anchoring.

He would also create promotions and graphics for the station when needed, which he came to love.

Eventually, Remington helped the owner of WMNN launch a national news network. That signed on January 1, 2019 at 6 p.m.

It marked a double debut, both for the network and Remington on the national stage. The operation grew until its closure in August of 2024.
