Michigan officials announced new initiatives Monday aimed at making the state’s national parks more accessible. Targeting park-goers with and without physical disabilities, the announcements include an expansion of off-road wheelchair offerings, installation of new electric vehicle charging stations and the debut of an automated bus at Sleeping Bear Dunes. The initiative, launched between the state and National Parks Service, will provide funding for these expansions aimed at increasing access around Michigan.
