Alma VFW Post #1454 will be participating in the National Wreaths Across America Day on Saturday at 12-Noon. It’s a Non-Profit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. It was started in Maine 30 years ago. This is the 7th year the Alma VFW has participated in it. They’ll be placing over 190 wreaths on all the grave sites in the military section of Riverside cemetery, which will be pre-ceded by a small program and a 21 gun salute & taps.
