This isn’t something that happens every day. A&E Television Networks is suing ReelzChannel, alleging that the new TV show “On Patrol: Live” is an unauthorized copy of A&E’s former series “Live PD.” The network calls the new show a “clone” of theirs, noting that the Reelz series has the same primary hosts, content, format, segments, and more. Producer John Zito said in an interview with EW that they went looking for a new home for their show after it was canceled by A&E, who cited the interview in their legal filing for copyright infringement.
