Congratulations are in order for Angela Bassett. She and the cast of “9-1-1” have secured pay increases ahead of Season Five. Angela’s raise puts her salary among the top ones on network TV for anyone – male or female – and could be the highest ever for an actress of color on a broadcast drama series.
Angela is reportedly getting more than $450-thousand per episode, but she’s earning it. In addition to being involved in the development of “9-1-1,” which was created for her by Ryan Murphy. She’s also the executive producer of both “9-1-1” and “9-1-1: Lone Star.”
All the series regulars got a 25 percent raise. Peter Krause is now said to be in the low $300 thousand range per episode range, with Jennifer Love Hewitt coming behind him. The rest of the cast – including originals Aisha Hinds, Rockmond Dunbar, Kenneth Choi, and Oliver Stark – are believed to be all getting about $80 thousand an episode next season and are may go up to $100 thousand an episode in Season Six.
