Ellen Pompeo has new fish to fry after “Grey’s Anatomy.” In a new interview, Pompeo says she’s done with acting after the show ends.
She’s starred as Dr. Meredith Grey since “Grey’s” started in 2005. When she was in her 30s, she thought her acting career would be over by 40. Now that she’s 50, she realizes she can do whatever she wants. After the show ends with season 18, she’s throwing the towel in on her acting career… at least for a while.
“I’m not saying I’ll never act again, I very well may, but I’m not super excited about continuing my acting career,” she explains. “I’m more entrepreneurial at this stage. I’m excited about investing in businesses, and starting business. That’s an area of growth that I’m excited about, using my brain in a different way.”
