Dan Levy has let a confused fan know that his dad Eugene has not, in fact, passed away. Taking to Twitter, he corrected a fan who said she was “sad” that Eugene “is no longer here.”
Stef had taken to Twitter saying she was “super sad” watching “Schitt’s Creek” – where Dan’s real-life dad Eugene plays his on-screen father – since she supposedly knew Eugene had passed. But the actor is very much still alive, and Dan let her know by replying to her tweet writing, “news to me.”
It looks like it was just a misunderstanding and not an attempt at fake news. “Sorry all I seriously thought he had passed,” Stef has followed up her since-deleted tweet. “I’m glad I was wrong. I was sitting here watching the show super sad.” Check out the tweets below.
