Michigan is reporting 221 new cases of the coronavirus and 11 additional COVID-19 deaths. This makes the state’s total  61,630  confirmed  cases and 5,864 COVID-19 deaths. Officials urge Michiganders to continue to wear masks and practice social distancing even as the spread is slowing in Michigan and  other states see an alarming spike in numbers.
