Johnny Depp has scored a small win in his assault case with Greg “Rocky” Brooks. The actor previously asked to keep his defamation suit against Amber Heard out of the assault case – and his wish was granted. Any evidence or testimony about his ex-wife or alleged drug use will not be allowed in court for the assault case.
To recap, Brooks is suing Depp for allegedly punching him on the set of “City of Lies”. Depp argued that any information about his legal battle with his ex-wife or the alleged drug use could “improperly sway” the jury.
