A 13 year old Gratiot County girl lost her life after an accident with a semi Monday afternoon. A vehicle, driven by Stephanie Chase of Ithaca, ran into the back of the semi killing her passenger, Mariah Chase, on impact. The semi was parked on the side of the road with hazards on waiting for silage from a nearby field. The driver nor a 4 month old in the backseat, were hurt.
