Oprah Winfrey was the commencement speaker at Colorado College’s graduation over the weekend. She shared with the school’s 590 graduates that it’s small steps that lead to big accomplishments.

Quoting Angela Davis, Oprah said, “You have to act as if it were possible to radically change the world. And you have to do it all the time.” But it doesn’t happen with big decisions. Instead, it’s day-to-day decisions that do the trick.

Unlike Robert F. Smith did for the graduates at Morehouse College, Oprah did not offer to pay off the student loans of the graduates. Instead, she left them all with copies of her latest book, The Path Made Clear: Discovering Your Life’s Direction and Purpose. Kind of ouch…?
