Living legend Betty White is getting ready to celebrate her 97th birthday.
The icon turns 97 on Thursday, January 17th. An acquaintance tells “Closer Weekly” that it will be a low key party with good food, music and close friends. The former “Golden Girls” star reportedly has some mobility challenges, but still has a sharp mind doing crossword and sudoku puzzles and staying current with news and entertainment.
White whose been widowed since her husband Allen Ludden‘s death in 1981 spends her time these days with friends and her three stepchildren, as well as being active in animal charities.
