A woman is dead after her vehicle slammed into the back of a combine. The crash happened on M-55 in Iosco County’s Tawas Township. Michigan State Police said 30-year-old Allison Mitchell from National City hit the back of the farm equipment and said the preliminary investigation shows she may have been texting while driving. No seat belts were used and there were no signs of braking. The combine driver was not hurt.
