Harvey Weinstein is facing more charges. Manhattan District AttorneyCyrus Vance Jr. announced that a grand jury has charged the movie mogul with a first-degree criminal sexual act and two counts of predatory sexual assault.
According to law enforcement, the alleged incident happened in July 2006 when Harvey allegedly forced oral sex on an unnamed woman. The predatory sexual assault charges are felonies and carry a minimum of ten years to life in prison. And yes, these new charges are in addition to the charges Harvey’s already facing.
As we told you before, he’s already pleaded not guilty to raping one woman and sexually assaulting another. His attorney, Benjamin Brafman, said that he’s planning to plead not guilty to the new charges, too. He added, “Mr. Weinstein maintains that all of these allegations are false and he expects to be fully vindicated. Furthermore to charge Mr. Weinstein as a Predator when the interactions were each consensual is simply not justified.”
