Stallone’s Lawyer Responds To Assault Investigation

Sylvester Stallone’s lawyer is hitting back at the coverage of the investigation into misconduct allegations.

Marty Singer says the story is in the media to appease “the #MeToo generation.” The attorney added, “The DA’s office in both New York and LA want to get it out there that they’re investigating these matters. You don’t see police or the DA’s office issuing statements about everybody who files a police report — people would get ruined,” he noted “Why go to the media? Why not do the investigation first?”

Stallone, as we mentioned before, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman he used to date in the early 1990s. The two met while he was filming “Rambo III” and had a consensual relationship according to the attorney. He firmly denies the allegations against Sly saying that after the breakup, the actor never heard from her until after the Harvey Weinstein story broke.

Singer also explained that the woman tried to peddle her allegations to an entertainment website in November, but was turned down. Stallone has filed a lawsuit against the woman for filing a false police report.

The statute of limitations on an inappropriate behavior on the actor’s part is long past. We told you earlier that despite that, the investigation continues.
