Elton John’s life is coming to the big screen. Paramount Pictures is expected to finance and distribute the new movie, “Rocketman,” with “The Kingsman’s” Taron Egerton cast to play the iconic singer and will sing Elton’s songs himself.
The film, which will be directed by Dexter Fletcher, will follow Elton’s life from his start as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music, to his eventual rise to the superstar he is today, and will also cover his partnership with songwriting partner Bernie Taupin.
