A 36-year-old Edmore man is in the Montcalm County Jail after assaulting a road patrol sergeant who tried to arrest him on Wednesday. The Morning Sun reports that the man was a suspect in other crimes and assaulted the sergeant as he tried to take him into custody. The sergeant as he tried to take him into custody.
