Tony Award Winning Actress, Along with Kids, Struck By Car

Ruthie Ann Miles is recovering from injuries after her young child and another baby in a stroller were hit and killed by an out of control car in Brooklyn. Police say Miles was in a crosswalk yesterday afternoon with her four year old, while a one year old child was nearby. The mother of the one-year-old was injured too.

That’s when the driver, identified as Dorothy Bruns, reportedly told police she swerved to avoid another car and plowed into them. It’s reported that Bruns ran a red light, which she has been cited for on four previous occasions. Miles, who won a 2015 award for her role in “The King And I” is in stable but critical condition following the crash. She is apparently pregnant.
