Police are still investigating a snowmobile crash in Otsego County that took the life of a Michigan man. Richard Velat from Flushing was pronounced dead at the scene after he lost control of his snowmobile as he was driving down Lower Peninsula Snowmobile Trail 7 in Bagley Township last Friday, according to state troopers. Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the fatal crash.
