Former Gov. John Engler will be interim president of MSU. He was named to the position today. A student protester hopped on the table just after Michigan State University’s Board of Trustees voted in a new interim president. President Lou Anna Simon resigned last week, and the board named Bill Beekman as acting president until today’s vote.
