Gross Farms in Beal City, owned by brothers Steve and Phil Gross, won the 2017 Progressive Dairy Producer of the Year award, presented by NorthStar Cooperative in Lansing. THE MORNING SUN reports that the award recognizes the herd that has shown the greatest total increase in dollar value over the past five years. The farm won this award in 1998 as well.
