Johnny Depp has no fear of legal battles. While still duking it out with his former management company, Depp is now also suing his longtime talent lawyer who he claims collected more than $30-million in fees without a written contract.
Depp accuses Jake Bloom and his firm of “violating some of the most basic tenets of the attorney-client relationship.” Without going into detail, Depp also alleges that Bloom didn’t disclose conflict of interests.
“In light of the longstanding relationship between the Bloom Firm and Mr. Depp, the Firm is extremely disappointed that Mr. Depp has decided to file this lawsuit,” a rep for Bloom says. “The Firm disagrees with Mr. Depp and his counsel on the law and the facts, and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously.”
