Volunteers spent part of their Saturday making the sausage that will be served at the Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival pancake meals this coming weekend. Festival Queen Rivers McNeel, and her court representatives Katie Powell and Abigail Gould were among those who participated at Smith & Son’s Meat Processing in Mt Pleasant. 7,000 pounds of sausage were made for the festival.
