Daniel Norris pitched a quality first start of the season, but a bullpen implosion cost the Detroit Tigers in a 7-5 loss to the Boston Red Sox Sunday at Comerica Park. Norris lasted 6 1/3 innings, surrendering three runs. Bruce Rondon melted down for the second time in his two appearances with season, giving up three runs. Nicholas Castellanos hit a solo home run for Detroit, and Ian Kinsler had two RBI singles in the loss.
