The Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball team encountered a scary situation on Wednesday as their team plane skidded off the runway at Willow Run Airport. No one was seriously injured. High winds forced the pilot to abort his takeoff and apply strong brakes to avoid a crash. The plane then skidded causing serious damage. The team was headed to Washington D.C. for this afternoon’s Big Ten Tournament matchup with Illinois. Alternate travel plans have been arranged.
