MidMichigan Medical Center in Clare and Sparrow Carson City hospital have both been penalized for having patient injuries. The information came out in a report released by Kaiser Health News on December 21st. According to the report, the federal government has cut payments to 769 hospitals nationwide. 27 of those in Michigan. Penalized hospitals lose 1 percent of Medicare payments for a year.
