The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe released a survey to give the public input on the best use of the Michigan Indian Industrial Boarding School buildings in Mt Pleasant. The survey asks if the buildings should be turned into a cultural preservation and language revitalization center, a healing center, a museum, a tribal college, a charter school or a skilled trades education center. Any plans are tentative while the tribe determines whether the buildings can be rehabilitated. Surveys must be completed by November 30th.
