The Central Michigan Chippewas opened up their 2016 campaign with a convincing 49-3 victory over Presbyterian Thursday night at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Devon Spalding led the Chippewas offensively with 135 yards on the ground and a touchdown, while Jonathan Ward added 79 rushing yards and a touchdown of his own. Senior quarterback Cooper Rush finished the game 16 of 26 with a touchdown and an interception.
