Ithaca’s new superintendent says she’s ready to move the district forward while listening to those in the community and learning about the district and the area. Chairman Fletcher accepted the Ithaca superintendent position after serving as the director of math and science at Crystal Lake, Illinois. Fletcher says financial issues are one of her top concerns, especially with the loss of $1 million over the next five years due to a fine for improper record keeping from a defunct online education program.
