The Big Rapids Department of Public Safety, family and community celebrated Lt. Richard Spedowske’s memory with a fire truck procession through the City of Big Rapids Wednesday. The 68- year old 39 year Fire Dept veteran, died Monday. Spedowske had tested positive for COVID-19 but it’s unclear if he got the virus while on duty. His case is still being reviewed.
