Kevin Smith owed part of his massive 50-plus pound weight loss to his daughter Harley Quinn turning him on to veganism. Now it looks like he’ll be having a very vegan Thanksgiving.
Smith and his daughter have joined Farm Sanctuary’s 33rd annual Adopt A Turkey Project, meaning they’ll be rescuing a turkey this year rather than eating one. In a video, they talk about the cause. Smith says he’s thankful that he got the advice to go vegan from his daughter, and she says she’s thankful that he’s alive after suffering a heart attack.
“You’re always told by older people it’s OK to eat animals, we’re supposed to eat animals,” Smith says in the video. “For a long time, that’s what my generation believed – now we know a lot better.” Check it out to the right.
