Congratulations To Our Student of the Month Maclaen LaBelle

Congratulations To Our Student of the Month Maclaen LaBelle

Maclaen LaBelle student of the month

It’s great to be recognized for hard work. No one believes that more than My 1043. We teamed up with the Gratiot/Isabella Technical Education Center to bring you our student of the month for the 2016/17 school year.

Each month, GI-TEC teachers and My 1043 staff pick one deserving student. That student earns a plaque from JNR Engraving, a prize pack from My 1043, and kudos for a job well done.

Congrats to our student of the month this month, Maclaen LaBelle!  This is what Maclaen’s teacher Wayne Smoot had to say about our student of the month:

Maclaen is a 2nd year Electronics student.  His technical abilities were on display last year when he placed first in the state wide MITES competition with a “micro-controller” based synthesizer.

Providing leadership and mentoring, Maclaen makes the consistent effort to work with our first Trimester Electronics students, helping them to understand basic concepts and improve their skills.  He continues to hone his own skills by working on complex “microcontroller” based projects for upcoming MITES competitions.

In addition to Electronics here at the Mt. Pleasant campus, Maclaen is also enrolled in the Pre-Engineering program at Alma with Mr. Cutler.  Maclaen will be attending Ferris State in the fall studying Mechatronics.

As both a college and a high school instructor, I can tell you Maclaen is the type of student who I look forward to teaching at the college level.  His commitment and dedication will make him very successful.

Congratulations to Maclaen and all of our Student of the Month winners for the 2016-17 school year!

Thanks to our student of the month sponsors!
