MY-1043 is excited to support our own Art Reach of Mid-Michigan’s “Art Walk Central” event series, happening all throughout the month of August 2019!
Art Walk Central is a unique competition, offering two categories: youth (13-18 years old) and adult (19+). Art Walk Central is not only an art competition, featuring almost 120 artists; it is also an art infusion! This month-long event offers artists the opportunity to display their art, in a public setting, with prizes awarded for jurors and people’s choice. Additionally, everyone is invited to register and vote for their favorite piece or pieces. Throughout the month there are a wide range of art activities offered for children and adults alike. Art Reach is proud to continue Art Walk Central, as a way to keep art alive and accessible to everyone in the community.
Registration and voting for People’s Choice Awards go from Monday August 5th (9am) through 5pm on Tuesday, August 27th! The announcement of winner (for both People Choice & Juried Awards) will be announced at Art Reach Benefit for the Arts Auction on Wednesday, August 28th at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, starting at 5:30pm!

MONDAY, AUGUST 5, 2019 (3PM-4PM) Join MY-1043’s Tina Sawyer at Art Reach of Mid Michigans “Art Walk Central” Event – Free Make & Take Crafts for Kids (with additional Make & Take Crafts for Kids events on August 12th & August 19th)! It’ll be a ton of fun!
THURSDAY, AUGUST 8, 2019 (4:30PM-5:30PM) Join MY-1043’s Tina Sawyer at Art Reach of Mid MIchigans “Art Walk Central” Event – for their annual Artists Battle – $25 entry fee, $200 prize for people’s choice-ages 13 & up to participate! Sign up through Art Reach!
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 14, 2019 (12PM-1PM) Join MY-1043’s Tina Sawyer at Art Reach of Mid Michigan for “Art Walk Central” Events! She’ll highlight some of the art pieces on Broadway; the judges top 10 adult entries & top 5 kids entries! Come down & view all the pieces (over 100 total) & vote for the peoples choice!
THURSDAY, AUGUST 22, 2019 (11AM-12PM) Join MY-1043’s Tina Sawyer at Art Reach of Mid Michigan for “Art Walk Central” Events! Art in the Park is happening this day – it’s a nature themed art day for kids, adults & families!
