The Isabella County Sheriff’s Office says Kenneth Maddux is in police custody Monday morning.

Isabella and Midland county deputies say he broke into a home and shot a woman last week.

They had been searching for him since then.

The Sheriff’s Office received a tip that Maddux was in a mobile home in Chippewa Township.

Law enforcement set up a perimeter around the home and called for the occupants to come out.

The sheriff says a male suspect came out of the home and confirmed Maddux was inside.

Maddux was taken into custody and detectives are questioning him about the shooting and home invasion.

An active meth lab was also found inside the home and a male occupant was taken into custody for maintaining a drug house.
