The man who made those words famous has passed away at age 81.  He had 21 Top 40 hits including “Rhinestone Cowboy,” “Wichita Lineman” and “By the Time I Get to Phoenix.” In his prime of 1968, he even outsold The Beatles according to Rolling Stone Magazine.  His career spanned six decades and he sold over 45 million records!  Maybe most notably he allowed a documentary crew to film on his final tour, while battling Alzheimer disease.  A role that Bill Clinton believes he will be more known for than his music. The world is a little sadder place, without the Rhinestone Cowboy
