An Alma man agreed to prison time in a plea deal for abusing his elderly mother. 53-year-old Richard Coin pleaded no contest to one count of first degree vulnerable adult abuse, a 15-year felony. In exchange for his plea, felon in possession of a firearm and felonious assault charges were dropped. A judge will sentence Coin on June 12th.
