Mt Pleasant city officials want input as the city begins work on a medical marijuana ordinance. Mayor Kathy Ling says the next step is to appoint an ad hoc committee to study the issue. The committee would consist of two city commissioners, two planning commissioners, three Mt Pleasant residents, the public safety director, city planner and city attorney. Residents interested in serving on the committee should contact Ling or City Manager Nancy Ridley by Wednesday, April 5th.
