The Sacred Heart Irish cashed their ticket to the Breslin Center, defeating Frankfort 48-37 in the Class D state quarterfinals Tuesday in Buckley. Sophie Ruggles and Scout Nelson, who were named to the Class D first team All-State earlier in the day, led the Irish. Ruggles scored 23 points in the win, while Nelson added nine. The Irish battle Pittsford on Thursday from the Breslin Center. Pittsford defeated the Irish in last year’s state championship game.
