Members of the Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival board will make a final call this week as to whether or not the royalty pageant will go forth as planned. A low number of applicants raised concern about interest in the event this year. However, the Maple Syrup Festival Princess Pageant – designed for younger participants – is thriving, with spots filled within days of applications available.
