Central Michigan University, Union Township and the City of Mt Pleasant have proposed a new option to consider for sidewalks in the Crawford Road area. Officials want to “punch through” a new route to connect with existing paths in the CMU Smart Zone area. The original plan was to install sidewalks on the east side of Crawford Road between Denison and Broomfield, possibly with lights. The original plan might still be considered.
