The United Way of Gratiot and Isabella Counties dispersed more than 40,000 school supplies to 476 classrooms around mid-Michigan on Tuesday. President and CEO Tom Olver said the group raised roughly $45,000 from the annual Stuff the Bus campaign for the supplies. Mercantile Bank also donated 10,000 water bottles, roughly one for each student in all 27 buildings served.
