The city of Mt Pleasant plans to restrict the time when waste collectors can pick up garbage and recycling in parts of the city. The proposal would restrict trash or recycling pickup before 7:00AM or after 8:00PM in residentially-zoned areas or commercial areas that abut residential areas. The city commission set a public hearing on the issue for its September 12 meeting.
