You might want to rethink tubing down some areas of the Mighty Chip. Carey Pauquette, environmental manager for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, gave a report of investigative findings during the county’s work session Tuesday afternoon. She said that there were large E.coli readings from human waste in the Beal City area. The highest levels of E.coli at testing sites on the river at Winn and Beal City roads; and at Fitch Drive.Signs are posted to warn of the contamination in the areas affected.
